SUMMARY:Psychedelic Sharing & Integration Circle: Many Medicines\, Many Journeys
DESCRIPTION:After registering below\, you will receive a confirmation email with a Zoom meeting link. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis gathering is centered on sharing our psychedelic experiences with one another. \n\n\n\nIf you’re able to have a personal or ceremonial psychedelic experience in the week—or even just a few days—before our circle\, we invite you to come while the experience is still fresh in your mind\, your body\, and your being. \n\n\n\nThere can be something especially powerful about speaking from that freshness—sharing not only the story of what happened\, but something of the felt experience itself\, allowing it to come alive again and be transmitted through the telling. \n\n\n\nPsychedelic experiences can be profound\, beautiful\, challenging\, mysterious\, or difficult to put into words. We’ve found that something meaningful can happen when we have the opportunity to tell the story of an experience while others simply listen. Sharing can help us remember\, reflect\, integrate\, and sometimes discover aspects of the experience that we hadn’t fully recognized on our own. \n\n\n\nWe welcome experiences with psilocybin\, LSD\, MDMA\, ayahuasca\, 5-MeO-DMT\, ketamine\, and other psychedelics. Whether your experience was recent or happened some time ago\, you’re invited to bring whatever feels alive and meaningful for you. \n\n\n\nFacilitators:This gathering is hosted by Peter Schubert\, an end-of-life doula and devoted participant in plant medicine practices\, together with Pamela Wood and Henry Passot\, Co-Founders of the Psychedelic Advocacy Network. \n\n\n\n\n\n*************************************************************************** \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n*************************************************************************** \n\n\n\nDisclaimer:Our group exists to provide education and harm reduction and foster a supportive\, heart-centered community. Our group does not offer medical advice\, therapy\, or psychedelic substances. Also\, our events do not condone or facilitate the taking of illegal drugs.

SUMMARY:A Meditation on Death: Letting Go to Live More Fully
DESCRIPTION:After registering below\, you will receive a confirmation email with a Zoom meeting link. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin Julia and Bill for a 25-minute guided Death Meditation\, a gentle and meaningful practice of letting go that invites us to explore our relationship with death—and\, in doing so\, discover a deeper appreciation for the life we are living now. The meditation will be followed by an open Q&A and conversation. \n\n\n\nRather than approaching death as something to fear or avoid\, this practice uses imagination and contemplation to explore the process of letting go—of our relationships\, surroundings\, bodies\, senses\, and ultimately the identities we have constructed throughout our lives. \n\n\n\nFor those who have had profound psychedelic experiences\, this territory may feel familiar. Psychedelics can sometimes bring experiences of ego dissolution\, loss of a familiar sense of identity\, or a feeling of egolessness. The Death Meditation offers another contemplative way of exploring what it can mean to loosen our attachment to who we believe ourselves to be—and to meet that letting go with curiosity and openness. \n\n\n\nDrawing inspiration from Buddhist teachings on mortality and impermanence\, as well as traditions of symbolic death\, transformation\, and rebirth found across cultures\, the meditation invites us to deepen our appreciation for the preciousness and fragility of life. \n\n\n\nThe intention is to cultivate presence\, appreciation\, acceptance\, and openness. By contemplating death and the letting go of identity\, we may discover a renewed capacity to be more fully present for the life we are living now. \n\n\n\nFacilitators:Julia Star has been working with psychedelic-assisted therapy for over thirty years. She finds the model of finding answers to life’s challenges through the plant medicines to be the most effective and heart-opening path towards personal freedom. \n\n\n\nBill Wagg has practiced Buddhism for nearly 50 years\, a path that has taken him from Tibetan monasteries in India to decades of study\, retreat\, and meditation. He spent 18 months studying at a Tibetan monastery under the esteemed Kalu Rinpoche\, along with six months making pilgrimages to Bodhgaya and other important Buddhist sites throughout India. \n\n\n\nRooted in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism\, he has received teachings from many respected teachers\, including the Dalai Lama\, Mingyur Rinpoche\, and Tai Situ Rinpoche. \n\n\n\nDespite a lifetime of practice\, Bill brings a wonderfully humble perspective to Buddhism—he often says it takes a long time to truly understand these teachings\, and he suspects he may still have a few lifetimes to go. \n\n\n\n\n\n*************************************************************************** \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n*************************************************************************** \n\n\n\nDisclaimer:Our group exists to provide education and harm reduction and foster a supportive\, heart-centered community. SUMMARY:Rev. Konrad Ryushin Marchaj: Zen\, Psychedelics & the Path of Awakening
DESCRIPTION:After registering below\, you will receive a confirmation email with a Zoom meeting link. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this intimate and engaging talk\, Ryushin will draw from decades of Zen practice and teaching\, along with his personal exploration of psychedelic medicines as sacred sacraments\, to explore where these two paths meet. \n\n\n\nHe’ll reflect on how Buddhist wisdom and psychedelic experience can inform one another\, opening new ways of understanding the mind\, awakening\, suffering\, and what it means to live with greater awareness\, compassion\, and freedom. \n\n\n\nTogether\, we’ll explore how these ancient teachings and profound experiences can help us recognize conditioned patterns\, deepen our understanding of ourselves\, and bring greater wisdom and presence into everyday life. Ryushin brings a rare perspective that bridges traditional Zen practice with firsthand experience of psychedelic states. \n\n\n\nCome join the conversation\, bring your questions\, and connect with our community as we explore what can emerge when Zen\, psychedelics\, and the work of integration come together. \n\n\n\nBio:Rev. Konrad Ryushin Marchaj is a Zen priest in the tradition of Zen Buddhism and a dharma heir of the late John Daido Loori\, Roshi. Formerly the abbot of Zen Mountain Monastery in the Catskill Mountains of New York\, \n\n\n\nBorn in Warsaw\, Poland\, he immigrated to the United States in 1967. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Yale University in 1976 and a medical degree from Albany Medical College in 1980. \n\n\n\nRyushin began practicing Buddhism in 1983 and entered full-time residential training at Zen Mountain Monastery in 1992. SUMMARY:Beyond the Beliefs We Were Given... What Now?
DESCRIPTION:After registering below\, you will receive a confirmation email with a Zoom meeting link. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is a calling and a gathering for those of us who have stepped away from a fundamentalist\, dogmatic\, or rigid spiritual or religious tradition and found themselves asking: What now? \n\n\n\nLeaving a belief system that once told us how to understand the world—and perhaps who we were supposed to be—can bring tremendous freedom. But it can also bring heartbreak\, uncertainty\, loneliness\, and the loss of a community and identity that may have shaped us for much of our lives. \n\n\n\nDuring my first psychedelic journey\, I had a profound realization: that love existed fully within me\, and within everyone\, regardless of whether I lived according to the religious structures and beliefs I had been taught. That experience opened something in me that I am still exploring. \n\n\n\nLet’s gather together as we navigate similar territory. Together\, we can explore how our former beliefs shaped us—how they may have supported and empowered us\, how they may have limited or wounded us\, and how some of those beliefs may still be getting in the way of our flourishing. \n\n\n\nThis is not about replacing one belief system with another. It is an opportunity to listen\, share our experiences\, ask difficult questions\, and explore what spirituality\, meaning\, belonging\, and an authentic life might look like now. \n\n\n\nIf there is interest\, I hope this first gathering can grow into a monthly event where we can continue exploring these questions together. \n\n\n\nFacilitator:Hosted by Linda Wheeler \n\n\n\n\n\n*************************************************************************** \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n*************************************************************************** \n\n\n\nDisclaimer:Our group exists to provide education and harm reduction and foster a supportive\, heart-centered community. Our group does not offer medical advice\, therapy\, or psychedelic substances. Also\, our events do not condone or facilitate the taking of illegal drugs.
